What would you do in a year if you started today?

Hey Lovey!

You ever have those interesting conversations that start off as nothing and end up in a WOW place?

One of my latest convos started and went down a rabbit hole of dreaming about what I would do with ten million in lottery winnings if I’d won.  I had it all figured out and my list was long.  Like everyone else I want to continue to invest, support loved ones and enjoy a few splurges.  While spending my new imaginary millions, one of the things I mentioned wanting to do was to take a year and work on my weight and personal growth … midway through saying that aloud to someone else I thought … “why do I need to become a millionaire to take of me?”  I got off the phone and the question kept nagging at me, nagging for a couple of days in fact. 

What would you do in a year if you started today?  There are of course a LOT of things I thought one could start and successfully get done in one year and let’s be clear, having a baby was NOT one of those things.  I wanted to make sure the things I would include would require effort but be obtainable, something long lasting and the results would be just as rewarding as the journey. 

Over the course of a weekend, I questioned my commitment to any of the twenty or so things I’d listed and finally settled on three areas I wanted to focus on and they all included me.  Not business, not being a mom or good friend-girl just me. 

What would you do in a year if you started today? 

Insert Drum roll, balloons and fanfare now ….  

I’ve decided that I will commit to the following in the next 365 days.

  1. 52-pound weight loss goal.
  2. One new thing a month.
  3. Get out of my comfort zone (let’s chat more about that later).

Ok, I’ve put it out there all official in front of God and everybody so now there we go. 

So, loading day happens Friday May 21st be sure to check back in for the official start, the count down starts then. 

In the meantime, you’re invited to join me in this personal challenge by starting, restarting or leaning into an all but forgotten goal of your own.  I bet you two things immediately came to mind when you read that didn’t it?! 

Come on friend you can do it.  Keep in mind any movement forward is still moment.  Have an obtainable plan, start slow, and as small as you deem necessary.  Make sure you consult with your doctor before making any major changes to your diet, exercise, or lifestyle.
